Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the PC(USA) which offers all women the opportunity to practice their faith in the midst of a caring community. In addition to supporting the mission programs of the PC(USA), PW also partners with various secular and faith based organizations as the women fulfill the PW Purpose at the congregation, presbytery, synod, and churchwide levels.

Our Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Presbyterian Women in Greater Atlanta
There are organized PW groups in approximately half of the churches in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. They are supported by the PW Presbytery Coordinating Team (PWPCT) which consists of women with specific leadership duties. The PWPCT is currently being restructured by a “Lifeboat Council.”
