Second Annual "In Their Shoes" 10 Mile Challenge

Second Annual "In Their Shoes" 10 Mile Challenge
Presented by Central Presbyterian Church's Outreach and Advocacy Center (OAC)

Since 1980, Central Presbyterian Church's Outreach and Advocacy Center (OAC) has been equipping and empowering individuals experiencing homelessness to move toward self-sufficiency. Last year, Central OAC held its most successful fundraiser to date - a virtual run/walk, In Their Shoes: 10 Mile Challenge event. Following that success, we invite you to participate on April 30.

Individuals experiencing homelessness walk an average of 10 miles per day to access the services and items they need. We are raising awareness by challenging participants to do the same over a period of time or with a relay team, splitting up the miles. Participants can complete the run/walk at the pace and location of their choosing. If walking or running isn’t your thing, feel free to choose another activity that might take the time of walking 10 miles.

This is the perfect activity for a youth group, church staff challenge, or adult Sunday school group. All registrants will receive an event t-shirt.

Start a team and register today to support Central OAC's mission to open doors to overcome and prevent homelessness.
