MDM Donation Drive to Benefit Refugees

This MDM Donation Drive to benefit refugees, in partnership with the Welcome Co-Op, will focus on kitchenware items. More specifically, needs include:

  • Boxed cookware sets with several pans & pots with lids

  • Kitchen utensil sets

  • Silverware sets with place settings for 4-6 people

  • Mixing bowl sets that are plastic or metal and have 3-5 bowls

  • Dishware sets for 4 – 6 people that include a large plate, small plate, bowl, cup, mug, etc.

  • Baking pan sets (can be metal pans or glass baking dishes)

We are asking for all of these items to be NEW, please. These will go to the Welcome Co-Op and then into apartments for newly arriving refugee families!

The drop-off day will be Sunday, December 11 from 2pm – 4pm at MDM. Our hope is that many churches across Atlanta might collect all through November, and then drop them off at MDM on Sunday 12/11 during the time window. We will have the Welcome Co-Op truck there to receive the items directly on 12/11 from 2pm – 4pm, so it’s very important that the items be delivered during that specific time window.

We have also added the items we are looking for to MDM’s Amazon Wishlist. If you want to share that, order that way, or direct individuals to that, you are more than welcome to do so! If you order through Amazon, please shop through smile.amazon.com. If you select Memorial Drive Ministries as your charity of choice, MDM gets a donation from Amazon at no cost to you. (If your church orders through Amazon regularly, doing it through Amazon Smile to benefit MDM is a great way to support!)

Thank you all for standing with refugees and living out your faith by welcoming newcomers.
